Challenge

Medtronic needed a partner to extend their QA and software development teams working on web, iPad, and desktop clients of PillCam™.

This capsule endoscopy platform produces clear images of the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, and colon via a pill-sized camera, which allows physicians to detect GI abnormalities, monitor disease activity, and assess treatment efficacy in a non-invasive way.

To provide an effective solution for aid client’s goal and be in compliance with strict healthcare regulations, Ignite’s team undertook medical, security, and internal guidelines trainings both remotely and onsite.

Solution

Today, the team consists of 9 people and continues to work as Medtronic’s team textention utilising Agile methodology.

Results

Ignite remains the development partner of Medtronic, expanding our relationship in that time to further develop and improve the software.

We believe this shows the benefits of a close and consistent outsourced collaboration; one that is able to respond to change in an agile manner, without affecting the quality of output.
